"Men of Honor" with Cuba Gooding, Jr. and Robert DeNiro tells the story of Carl Brashear's determination to become a Navy diver. While each scene confronts obstacles (physical, mental, social), it is the influence of parental love that makes it one of my favorite all time "resilience" movies. The binding friendship evolves to assist each character to do his best for the love of his chosen work. Many will be "upset" by the use of profanity. In this case, the dialogue suits the times and honesty is important. I own three copies and offer them to anyone I meet who has not seen this courageous story of resilience and desire.
